Presets
A preset is one value chosen per axis: base palette, primary hue, contrast, accents, type roles, type reference, scale and leading. All four use the same token names, so switching presets restyles a site without touching a component.
Side by side
Each card is drawn from that preset’s own resolved tokens, in the current light or dark setting. The site itself uses marginalia.

Axes
Presets are built from independent axes, so a new preset is a new combination rather than new code. Only light and dark stay live at runtime; every other axis is resolved when the package is built.
Each preset ships as two files: one for the light theme and one for dark. The full switchable set of every axis exists as a development stylesheet, used to design new presets and by the site’s own preset picker.
